Information You Choose to Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the third-party results provider; the site's servers do not retain a copy of that query. A direct message contains only the details you decide to send and is used to answer you.
Basic Technical Logs
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. Aggregate review helps maintain the service and measure page use. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
Why Limited Data Is Used
Technical data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvements. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Iowa Consumer Data Protection Act, Iowa Code Chapter 715D, provides covered consumers with rights and controller response and appeal rules. Because this site keeps very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Iowa, Dallas County, or Waukee offices remain under their custodians' control, so correction or removal requests for those records must go to the responsible office.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
